How do I start drawing my pension? Expand answer
If you’re eligible to start receiving your benefits, please contact the administration team.

You're eligible to start receiving your benefits if:
  • You're a member with benefits in the CPS Section of the Scheme and are aged 50 and above (although your benefits will be reduced for early payment) OR

  • You're a member with benefits in another section of the Scheme and are aged 55 and above (although your benefits will be reduced for early payment).

How to change my contact or personal details? Expand answer
You have two options of letting the administration team know that your contact or personal details have changed.

You can simply email the administration team and tell them what details have changed. Please note that you will need to provide some personal information (like National Insurance number) so that the administration team can identify you.

If you prefer not to send your details online, you can call the administration team on 0113 394 9305 (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, excluding bank holidays). Please have your National Insurance number to hand.

How to change my address? Expand answer
Please complete and return the Change of personal details form to the administration team.

How to change my bank account details? Expand answer
If your payment details have changed, please complete and return the Change of personal details form by post to the administration team at Akzo Nobel (CPS) Pension Scheme, PO Box 545, Redhill, Surrey RH1 1YX.

How do I start/stop/change my AVC payments? Expand answer
You can start, stop or change your AVC payments at any time if you’re still working for the Company.

To do so, simply submit your request to start, stop or change your AVC payments via HR shared services. That’s because they are responsible for arranging your AVC payments.

How do I change my AVC investments? Expand answer
If you’re no longer working for the Company and want to change how your AVCs are invested, please complete and return the AVC investment switch form to the administration team.

For active members still working for the Company, please submit your request to change how your AVCs are invested via HR shared services. That’s because they are responsible for arranging the AVC deductions from your salary and payments to the relevant AVC provider.

How to change my death benefit nomination? Expand answer
To update your nominations of whom the Trustees should pay any benefits in case of your death, simply complete and return the Death Benefits Nomination form to the administration team.

How to notify the death of a member Expand answer
Please call the administration team on 0113 394 9305 (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, excluding bank holidays). They will provide further details and instructions on next steps.
